Links Health Issues
|
|
Since promiscuous sex carries so many risks, I have been asked to put in links that need to be in place so that people, especially young kids, have a source of information with regards to their own behaviors, and be better advised as to the risks they are taking with their own health. There will also be other links to other health issues on this page. Warning, some of these links contain graphic material. Intestinal Parasites This is the wikipedia version of the information. Very relevant if you understand how it can happen. More on worms very graphic. Parasites (Internal) Benefits of Being a Vegetarian A friend of mine had a T-shirt for her sons that read: "Vegetarian= Lousy hunter". But it is worth considering the advantages of being vegetarian so I put the link up there. Helpful Hint: The best way to remove a tick. This is great, because it works in those places where it's some times difficult to get to with tweezers: between toes, in the middle of a head full of dark hair, etc. Apply a glob of liquid soap to a cotton ball. Cover the tick with the soap-soaked cotton ball and swab it for a few seconds (15-20), the tick will come out on its own and be stuck to the cotton ball when you lift it away. Minor Burns Remedy Essential Oil Lavender is super. I heard about it from a woman who worked as a beautician. Curling iron burns are really nasty, but she put a couple of drops of Lavender oil on it, rubbed it in, and the pain was gone instantly and most of the time, the burn heals with no scarring. I myself, had a serious burn from the woodstove last winter. It was several inches long, and deep enough to split the skin. I put the lavender oil on it figuring I could get to the doctor the next morning.. but I didn't need to! The pain was gone, there was no redness (redness would indicate infection) so I kept putting lavender oil on two or more times a day and in a week or so, it was completely healed and I have NO scar! Sleep Aid. A small drop of lavender oil on your fingertip, massage right under your nose, and sleep comes easier and is more restful.
