The Walk

Last weekend, despite temps in the 90ºF and up, supporters marched in the Walk-Run event in Spirit Lake to support the family of Jemini Posey and the Volunteers who are investigating and searching for her.

Updated May 8, 2025

Jemini Posey was last seen Sunday, January 5th, 2024 on Spirit Lake Reservation.

She's been missing over a year now. Anyone with any information on her whereabouts or who has any information regarding her disappearance please contact The Fort Totten Police Department 701-766-4231 Or Devils Lake Police Department at 701-661-0700

Also missing is Isaac Hunt.

Isaac is Restin Hunt's son, and the brother to D'Angelo Hunt. D'Angelo Hunt was Jemini's bf and is suspected of murdering her. He has a child (son) by her and seems unbothered that she is not around. Isaac, apparently was very bothered by what he witnessed or knew about her disappearance/murder, and suddenly he's also 'disappeared'.

Restin Hunt, father to Isaac and D'Angelo, just shrugs and is unbothered by the sudden disappearance of his younger son. Restin (who is, according to one poster) IN CUSTODY (but the charges against him 'disappeared' and he was released, charged only with felony gun possession, being a felon in possession of a firearm). Restin is also, for some reason, a Confidential Informant to law enforcement and that (to some) explains his apparent special treatment by the system.

Another pereson, out of frame, holds a shovel.Searchers digging in the snow to uncover burn pits on or adjacent to the property of Restin Hunt. Several articles were found that relate to MISSING PERSON, JEMINI POSEY.

It seems to me that this is work that Law Enforcement, if they were interested in finding this missing 21-yr old womaan, would be doing.  If volunteers can do this and apparently ONLY volunteers are putting in the effort, I have to ask "Why?"  I'm pretty sure I know the answer. Perhaps if you ask the BIA what they have done, and why they don't do or haven't done, more... we can all get some answers, eh?

Chelsey Sloan and a handful of others have been relentlessly searching for Jemini. She has received harassment and threats. I guess that's what the various law enforcement agencies are afraid of? That if they look for her, they too will recieve harassment & threats?

Hard to say and hard to see what is stopping them from pursuing this case at least as vigorously as the volunteers are. Maybe they're just "busy"? Or maybe they're waiting for an unlucky fall guy to blame it on?

I dunno. (It took them years to find a fall guy for Gilbert Fassett's brutal murder. And even with that, they had to hide evidence, witnesses and lie to the courts when they knew their 'suspect' was innocent.) Pretty sure this case is solvable. But they would have to try. They had Restin Hunt in custody, on an unrelated charge, according to one poster. So, where's Isaac?

This is the arial view of the property owned by Restin Hunt.

The circled areas are the burn pits that were located and searched by volunteers who were searching for Jemini Posey.

Items most-likely belonging to Jemini Posey were found burned, destroyed and buried in these pits.

Again, I have to ask: Why is it only the volunteers doing the searching and the finding of evidence?

Ft. Totten Police, BIA, Devils Lake Police are satisfied with sitting back and waiting for your calls.

If you have given information to them and they haven't updated you or acted on it, feel free to share that information with me and I will pass it on to those doing the actual work of searching and finding.
